Three Doctors Join Pinnacle Hospital Staff

Crown Point, Indiana – October 22, 2008 – Pinnacle Hospital is pleased to announce cardiologists Nazzal Obaid, MD, Kais Yehyawi, MD and Abdul Kawamleh, MD have joined the medical staff. They are in practice specializing in cardiology at Internal Medicine Associates in Merrillville, Indiana.

Nazzal Obaid, MD
Dr. Obaid graduated from Damascus University Medical School. He completed his internship and residency at Mercy Hospital through the University of Illinois and fellowship in Cardiology at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois through Loyola University.

Kais Yehyawi, MD
Dr. Yehyawihe held a Fellowship in Advanced Cardiovascular Medicine at the Minneapolis Heart Institute at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. Dr. Yehyawi earned his medical degree from Damascus Medical College at the University of Damascus, and served his internship at Damascus University Hospitals. He also held a Fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Wisconsin Medical School’s Milwaukee Heart Institute at Sinai Samaritan Medical Center.

Abdul Kawamleh, MD
Dr. Kawamleh graduated from Aleppo University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois. Dr. Kawamleh held fellowships in Post-doctoral echo cardiology at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, Louisiana and Cardiology at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana.
