I had an accident at work and needed emergency surgery. Pinnacle is an excellent hospital. I was well taken care of here. The nurses were very helpful and informative and really took excellent care of my pain. They have time to talk to you and explain things. . . it’s like having your own private nurse. The food is very good and you order your meals through room service. The rooms are large and private. They even have a DVD and movies to help pass the time. The care I received here was superior to any other hospital. . . my entire stay at Pinnacle was like night and day compared to other hospitals. I would highly recommend this hospital and would like to see one just like this built in Porter County.
I think Pinnacle is fantastic. . . not only was it a beautiful hospital, but my daughter and I absolutely loved the nurses. Everyone was so nice to us from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. . . and that’s so hard to find these days!
My first visit to Pinnacle was as an in-patient for several days. I liked having a room to myself. The food was surprisingly good for a hospital. I liked ordering off the room service menu and ordering what I liked. And my kids liked the food too since sometimes we would order meals for them. The nurses as well as the other hospital helpers were all caring, nice and pleasant. Now I have to come to Pinnacle once a week for blood work. Ilona and Sharon take very good care of me. I have a VIP pass so I don’t need to re-register each week. My twins love coming with me because Sharon gives them snacks.
I recently had surgery at Pinnacle and was in-patient for 3 nights. Everyone was extremely professional. I appreciated the one-on-one care and their attentiveness in treating my pain. And there was no interruption in the A-1 service even during shift changes. Besides the fabulous staff, I felt like I was staying in a hotel. I had a private room and it was comfortable and large. It was also a neat idea to have a “room service” menu which added to the “hotel-like” feel of my hospital stay. Above all, the staff was FABULOUS!
I am writing this note of gratitude to express our sincere delight regarding the services received on October 17, 2008. I am a registered nurse and understand too well how often medical professionals receive loads of complaints but rarely receive compliments. My niece was suffering with persistent severe abdominal pain and needed to see a physician. When we arrived we were greeted warmly and escorted to the urgent care unit. We were processed very quickly and my niece was assessed and treated for her condition. We felt like royalty! Your ancillary staff was courteous and professional. We would recommend your facility to anyone we know who has a need for these services. Lisa Stultz, Margarita Ramirez, and Melissa Trott were awesome!
My father...recently spent several days at your hospital. Our experience there could not have been more positve. I work in management in the veterinary field, and have spent the last 9 months working with a consultant, specifically on developing a culture and writing a vision statement that our staff can live out each day. I don't know if you have intentionally taught this, but your staff has already achieved what we are striving for. While your medical care was excellant, it was everything beyond that, that meant so much. The staff very much worked as a team, they were proactive in their patient care, not afraid to make suggestions to the Drs, and included us in each step of the process. Every staff person we passed in the hallway greeted us, the facilities manager stopped by everyday and even sent my mom breakfast one morming, nurses and aides would stop by at the end of their shift to tell us goodbye and let us know when the would be back in. That culture is what will make you the best in the field. I wish I could remember everyones name, but I have to mention Claire and Khrisna. They were professional and kind, and gave their very best to my dad. I came back to work, and told my staff that it's all the little things that add up to creating a positive experience in a persons life. Please pass along my families gratitude to the staff. Sincerly,
The staff in the urgent care were very good with my 23 month old daughter. Michelle P.
If it is at all possible to have a "good" time being ill, I had one while a patient at Pinnacle. I believe the combination of caring, compassionate nurses and other health care providers, coupled with great food really helped take the edge off a hospital stay that was neither planned nor expected. Again, while doctors provide the direction for treatment, I believe the nurses there were extraordinary, everyone on every shift! Hospital management making a "bed check" to ensure all was well is another welcomed and bright spot to any extended stay. What a wonderful change of pace for anyone needing hospitalization. David W.
